OA67516: NO INSTANA HEADER IS ADDED IN MESSAGE FROM CICS TO OUTGOING MQ MESSAGE

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• Client is performing a POC on Instana for a hybrid application
  that calls into CICS on z/OS via MQ and sends a response back
  to calling application.
  
  Case TS0177810 was opened when transaction trace did not occur
   on response flow back from CICS via MQ.
  
  Root cause was determined to be that client is using a
  user-defined codepage (61338)within their z/OS environment but
  do not have a custom code page mapping defined to
  z/OS Unicode services.
  
  
  ZAPMC makes use of z/OS Unicode services to provide accurate
  codepage conversion when traversing and updating MQ on z/OS
  headers. When this conversion fails, tracing of the transaction
   beyond this point cannot continue.

• zOS unicode changes have been done as part of ZAPM 6.2.0-2
  and the PTF (OA68243, UJ97803) has been shipped.
  This APAR was created for the customers to test the changes on
  6.1 and confirm if all looks good.
