APAR status

  • Closed as requirement.

Error description

  • The IDCDOUT macro in SYS1.MACLIB contains wrong definitions for
a certain number of fields. For example
    DCUTMSTP DS 1CL0008 TIMESTAMP FIELD

This timestamp field is defined as 8 characters instead of a
hexadecimal value as it should be. The fields are filled
correctly by the IDCAMS DCOLLECT function. But programs may fail
which want to use assemble the IDCDOUT macro and rely on correct
    field definitions.

Local fix

  • Create a copy of the IDCDOUT member and modify the field
    definitions as needed.

Comments

  • IBM may address this requirement in a future release. In the
meantime, users are advised to create a copy of the IDCDOUT
member and modify the field definitions as needed.
