Error description
When using QSAM or BSAM to read a non-vsam physical sequential file that does not have an EOF marker, this may lead to tracks of data being read that do not fit the expected format of the dataset. This is because the data on these tracks is residual data.
Local fix
If the file being processed is an empty file, you should be able to open it for output and then close it. This will cause an EOF marker to be written.
