OA66545: REMOTE SOFT FENCE COMMAND REJECT DURING HYPERSWAP

Error description

• In a z/OS HyperSwap environment with Hardware Reserves enabled,
  if all paths to any swap-from LSS are lost, the attempt to
  remotely soft fence the swap-from LSS may fail with a command
  reject.

  In a z/OS HyperSwap environment with Hardware Reserves
  enabled, if all paths are lost to any PPRC primary LSS, then
  the remote soft fence may fail due to the wrong LSS parameter
  supplied on the command.  The remote soft fence I/O is
  intended to have the swap-to devices remotely instruct the
  swap-from devices to enter soft fence status.
  
  When this error occurs, it will surface with error:
   IOSHM0417I hh:mm:ss.tt Response from SY1, API RC = 4, Rsn = 8
  

Problem conclusion

• z/OS HyperSwap is updated to use the correct LSS parameter on
  the remote soft fence command.
