OA65754: DATASET STATUS NOT REPORTED CORRECTLY WITH EDSC ZDMF/K

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running Early Data Set Completion, some selected datasets
  may be dropped, or cause Group completion to be delayed if
  they are in use.  These datasets are not clearly identified,
  and the EDSC complete message doesn't account for them.

  The zDMF TSO Monitor can display the data sets that were
  dropped when using EDSC(DROPOPEN) but had no way to display the
  data sets that were waiting when using EDSC(WAITOPEN).  This
  information is now available in the zDMF database via two new
  messages.
  

Problem conclusion

• zDMF will now indicate the file type (VSAM/NONVSAM), dataset
  type (DATASET/CLUSTER) and data set name of any data set that
  was dropped (DROPOPEN) or is waiting (WAITOPEN) via two new
  messages in the zDMF database.
