OA65658: PROGRAM HSIZCAT TRUNCATES REQUIRED FIELDS FROM USAGE DETAIL RECORDS

Error description

• When condensing Usage Monitor data, the HSIZCAT program
  truncates fields containing the real names of aliases and the
  8-byte name of the calling program, both of which are referenced
  by Usage Import.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  *                      records thereby omitting fields         *
  *                      used by Usage Import in release 8.3.    *

  Aggregated usage records of type D4 written to the ZCATOUT DD by
  program HSIZCAT are shorter than those written by the Usage
  Monitor. In particular, alias real names, calling program names
  and diagnostic flags are discarded even though Usage Import is
  looking to import the alias real names and calling program
  names in release 8.3.
  

Problem conclusion

• Program HSIZCAT output to the ZCATOUT DD is changed as follows:
  1. The real name will now be treated as part of the program name
     so that records for the same program with different real
     names will not be aggregated.
  2. The 8-byte caller name will be preserved if consistent,
     meaning that 2 different non-blank names upon aggregation
     will cause the field to be blanked.
  3. Diagnostic flags of aggregated records will be logically ORed
     cumulatively.
  4. Full-length D4 records will be written.
