APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a MODEL 2 user enters invalid hex data (for example,
    characters x'36' or x'3F', they receive a KLKPM021 INPUT
    PROCESSING EXCEPTION message.
    
    Users may see the message "Terminal Input Error. Press Enter to
    Recover" on their screen.
    
    This fix will suppress the message, allowing the user to paste
    the data without error.
    
    Note: This fix appears to affect Omegamon adversely for some
    reason. If you notice any weird behavior in Omegamon after
    applying this fix, please apply APAR OA66917/PTF UJ96256.

    1. When using XCP(Y) and the datastream contains reserved code
       points x'36' and x'3F', MSGKLKPM021 with sense code
       x'082B0000' is encountered.
    
    2. When reserved code points x'36' and x'3F' are present in the
       data stream, data sent from the physical session to CLSS is
       not forwarded to the target application leading to session
       hangs.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code was updated to tolerate code points x'36' and x'3F'.
