APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A PDF containing a scanned image loops after UJ92777 is applied.
  PE Information:
  User's Affected:
  OA63812/UJ92777 (HXFR2D0)
  A PDF that contained a scanned image was being transformed to
  AFP when the hang occurred.
  All users that use the PDF2AFP transform
  to convert a PDF containing a scanned image to AFP
  are affected.
  User Impact:
  APAR OA63812 fixed the problem it reported but introduced a new
  problem.
  The original apar fixed the following:
  The transforms need to be updated with various fixes to
  improve reliability and serviceability.
  There is no option for color output for PostScript, PDF or
  PCL color input for the ps2afp, pdf2afp, and pcl2afp
  transforms.
  When running on a z/OS V2.5 system, the transforms can hang
  after the transform job has completed if warning or error
  messages are issued.
  The original apar introduced a hang when converting a PDF that
  contained a scanned image to AFP.
  

Local fix

• Use the previous level of maintenance for the Transforms to AFP,
  with APAR OA61639 PTF  UJ06697
