* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zDMF checks that the release of z/OS    *
*                      and certain interfaces are levels that  *
*                      have been tested. Currently, zDMF       *
*                      supports only up to z/OS 2.5.           *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF when available.       *
****************************************************************
zDMF checks that the release of z/OS and certain interfaces are
levels that have been tested. Currently, zDMF supports only up
to z/OS 2.5.  Running on z/OS 3.1 may produce messages such as:
GZD4704I zDMF encryption is available on z/OS 2.3 and above. +
 This operating system is at level HBB77E0
GZD3140E Group definition error: Encryption not available

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • zDMF has been tested on z/OS 3.1, and the checks for z/OS
levels have been updated to allow it.
