OA64359: ABEND0C4 PIC11 IN IKJEFP08 WITH VERY LARGE PCL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ABEND0C4 PIC11 can occur in IKJEFP08 when a very large PCL (>
  8K) is passed into IKJPARS.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of TSO/E Parse                     *
  ****************************************************************
  When a PCL is of a length greater than 8K IKJEFP08 can suffer
  an ABEND0C4 PIC11 processing the command.
  

Problem conclusion

• IKJEFP08 has been updated to correctly process PCLs 8K or
  greater in length.  The maximum PCL size is 16K.
  TSOE Programming Services, SA32-0973-50,
  section, The parse parameter list,
  will be updated to note this PCL size limit.
