    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Shutdown of the Processor Operations *
    * application may hang because some *

    *                      gracefully.                             *
    ****************************************************************
During shutdown of Processor Operations all autotasks
(ISQnnnnn) are instructed to execute the NCCF LOGOFF command.
Due to circumstances outside the control of Processor
Operations this might not be successful in all cases. The
Processor Operations shutdown will not proceed and there will
be leftover autotasks still executing (visible via the
    TASKUTIL command).

Problem conclusion

  • The shutdown processing has been enhanced. After having issued
the LOGOFF commands to all Processor Operations autotasks
possibly leftover autotasks are queried and identified. For
these tasks Processor Operations then issues
STOP FORCE=<taskname> commands twice to force the autotask
to stop. If NetView indicates that the autotask could be
stopped in a normal manner a STOP TASK=<taskname> command is
issued. The shutdown processing may be delayed up to 3 minutes
as the STOP FORCE command needs about one minute to take effect
and up to two attempts. The commands are issued in a loop
ending when all autotasks have been stopped or three iterations
(it. 1 & 2: commands issued, it. 3: final check) have been
    done.
As a result of a STOP FORCE command the corresponding autotask
may abend with a system code X"EC4".
