APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Typing GO/RUN from CKRCMD does not follow Command Routing
    setting of Normal.

The queued commands are not always executed against the RACF
database source selected in SETUP FILES (SE.1) if this has
been changed during the Admin UI session.

Local fix

  • Exit the display of the CKRCMD file and type R (Run commands)
    against CKRCMD.

Problem summary

    * generated RACF commands from the CKRCMD *
    * displays on the RESULTS panel in interactive *

    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Admin might run the generated *
    * RACF commands on wrong system in *
    * response on the 'GO' primary command *
    * entered on the CKRCMD panel. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided. *
    ****************************************************************
When using the GO/RUN command on the CKRCMD edit screen, the
routing for remote or local systems is not correctly set and the
previous correct setting done by the program is used to select
the target system, defaulting to the local system. With input
sets for remote system(s) selected in 'Setup input files'
(SE.1), this will often result in executing the commands on the
    wrong system.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Admin has been modified so that the generated RACF
commands are executed on a proper system in response to the 'GO'
command entered on the CKRCMD panel.
