  This enhancement allows for Media Manager users
  to issue synchronous IO writes to multivolume
  data sets.

• z/OS MVS System Messages Vol 9 had an update to the
  explanation for message IGW290I, where the phrase "or
  the data set is multivolume non-striped or multi-layer striped"
  was removed to reflect that  writing to a multivolume data
  set no longer disables a zHyperLink write request.
