Error description

  • When performing Verify of an Alert configuration (Option
Se.A.A), the following abend is thrown

19133 08:10:18.61 TSU02107 00000090  +CKR970I 16 CKRCARLA
PROGRAM  HEAP31   Free storage error: Last part of
storage already freed

FMTVCHR no longer limits output to 255 characters, while there
was code in the print summary that relied on that.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Alert verification step might   *
*                      terminate with MSCKR970I and ABENDU970. *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *

When zSecure Alert verification is processed, the program might
issue a MSCKR970I which begins with the text "CKRCARLA PROGRAM
HEAP31   Free storage error..." and terminate with an ABENDU970.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Alert has been modified so that the alert verification
processing is performed correctly, no MSCKR970I is issued and
the program does not terminate with and ABENDU970.
