Error description

• RMF Monitor III:
  
  RMF Monitor III VSAMRLS data gatherer ERB3GVRI fails with
  message:
  
  ERB307I III: MONITOR III DATA GATHERER ERB3GVRI.
               INTERACE IGWCDATA FAILED.
               RETURN CODE: 08 REASON CODE: 155
  
  The problem occurs after issuing a modify RMF console command to
  add/delete a dataset mask to Monitor III VSAMRLS data gatherer
  option.

  RMF Monitor III:
  After issuing a modify RMF console command to add/delete a
  VSAM RLS dataset mask, Monitor III data gatherer module
  ERB3GVRI fails with message:
  
  ERB307I III: MONITOR III DATA GATHERER ERB3GVRI.
               INTERACE IGWCDATA FAILED.
               RETURN CODE: 08 REASON CODE: 155
  
  The IGWCDATA interface requires the same TCB to be used to
  connect and disconnect from IGWCDATA interface. If the VSAMRLS
  data gatherer option is changed by a modify RMF command,
  ERB3GVRI disconnects from IGWCDATA interface and connects
  again. Since the TCB running ERB3GVRI is different from the TCB
  that was used to do the connect, the disconnect fails with an
  IGWCDATA interface error.
  The problem occurs since ERB3GVRI runs as a subtask when doing
  the IGWCDATA disconnect/connect to handle the VSMARLS data
  gatherer option change.
  Affected RMF releases: z/OS-2.3
  

Problem conclusion

• With this APAR, RMF Monitor III is changed so that ERB3GVRI is
  called and not attached when handling a VSAMRLS data gatherer
  option change.
