OA55651: DSAB POINTER NOT UPDATED IN AMB WHEN PRIMARY ACB IS CLOSED.

APAR status

• Closed as new function.

Error description

• When multiple ACBs open a single data set using data set name
  sharing, the DSAB pointer in the AMB only points to the original
  ACB's DSAB. Even when the original ACB is closed and
  unallocated, the DSAB pointer does not change. If the data set
  needs to do an extend, Common Open/Close/EOV will fail because
  the DSAB pointer is invalid and issue feedback code x'BC0800BA'.

  VSAM close is not updating the data set anchor block when a
  primary ACB is closed and unallocated. This caused feedback
  cose 'xx0800BA' wheh the user tried to extend the data set
  
  Conclusion
  VSAM close updates the anchor block to a secondary ACB when the
  primary closes. This allows the data set to successfully
  extend.
