  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * Users might experience ABEND878s                             *
  * in the SMSVSAM address space                                 *
  * after resource managers, over time,                          *
  * invoke the Switch_Context service                            *
  * while Transactional VSAM has                                 *
  * interest in the context.                                     *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  Resource managers call the Switch_Context service from
  MVS Context Services to switch the context associated
  with the application's task to another context. If
  Transactional VSAM has interest in the context, its
  context_switch exit routine will get invoked. When
  Transactional VSAM finishes processing the request, it
  fails to free a control block that was obtained for message
  processing. Over time, these orphaned control blocks
  can cause a storage shortage and ABEND878s can be seen
  when the system tries to obtain storage in the SMSVSAM
  address space.
  

Problem conclusion

• Transactional VSAM releases the storage obtained to process
  the Switch_Context request.
