    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of zSecure Collect processing I/O *
    *                 device information with the IO=YES           *
    *                 parameter.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Collect does not release the *
    * serialization locks (ENQs) placed on *
    * the allocated I/O devices resulting in *
    *                      a MSGISG368E.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided. *
    ****************************************************************
    When the IO=YES parameter is specified for zSecure Collect
    processing, the I/O serialization locks (ENQs) placed by the
    program are not released. This might result in a MSGISG368E
    which begins with the text 'THE CONCURRENT AUTHORIZED REQUEST
    COUNT FOR ASID <id> HAS EXCEEDED ...'.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Collect has been modified so that the I/O serialization
    locks (ENQs) allocated by the program are properly released.
