APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Message CKR2226 is issued (with an empty reason line) for a
  SHARED=N,CAT=N CKFREEZE even though sharing DASD and a
  SHARED=Y,CAT=Y CKFREEZE is connected for another system in the
  sysplex.
  

Local fix

• Use CKFREEZE files collected with CAT=Y from all systems.

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *

  When zSecure processes the system configuration information
  (CKFREEZE data sets) from multiple systems within the same
  sysplex and one of the CKFREEZE data sets is created with a
  SHARED=Y option while others with a SHARED=N option, a
  MSGCKR2226 which begins with the text "CKFREEZE <smfid> too
  incomplete for requested report ..." might be issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• zSecure has been modified so that the system information from
  multiple systems in a shared DASD environment is processed
  without MSGCKR2226 in cases where only one system information
  data set (CKFREEZE) is created with SHARED=Y option. Please note
  the documentation changes as provided by the APAR tracking
  comment data.
