Error description

  • Using ISPF interface to run RA and AU reports using the 64-bit
CARLa engine produces a System abend 0C4-3B (invalid storage
address -  region-3)

Local fix

  • Use 31-bit CARLa engine

Problem summary

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *

When zSecure Admin/Audit processes the reports that use a RACF
database range table, it might ABEND0C4-3B in cases where the
64-bit software version is used.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Admin/Audit has been modified so that the 64-bit version
does not ABEND0C4-3B while processing the RACF database range
table.
