Local fix

  • specify the 'M' IMSI character on LOADPARM so that all IPL
messages will be displayed.

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: Users running z/OS HBB7790 and above         *
*                 and using system symbols.                    *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During IPL, while processing IEASYMxx,  *
*                      multiline syntax error message IEA013E  *
*                      may get truncated after the first line  *
*                      on the NIP console.                     *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
The subsequent lines for system symbol syntax
error message IEA013E were incorrectly initialized for WTO
processing during NIP.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed system symbol initialization processing to correctly
provide the necessary WTO attributes for IEA013E so that the
subsequent lines of the message will be issued
on the NIP console.
