OA50085: PANEL AND RESULTING RACF COMMANDS ARE TRUNCATED WHEN UPDATING A USER FROM THE RA.R SCREEN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When displaying the profile in zSecure the column right after
  "When" only displays the first 10 chars of the profile you put
  inside the WHEN (SERVAUTH()) keywords.
  
  Further when overtyping anything on this line the full profile
  namethat would be inside the WHEN clause is truncated.
  

Local fix

• This issue can be circumvented by placing an S next to the User
  ID you wish to change The resulting panel has the full field
  lengths available for update and correctly generates the RACF
  commands

  If the conditional WHEN RESOURCE/PROFILE part of an ACL is
  modified and the actual length of the clause exceeds the display
  width, zSecure Admin might generate truncated RACF commands.
  

Problem conclusion

• zSecure Admin has been modified so that it does not allow the
  ACL field modification on the profile detail display in cases
  where the ACL field length exceeds the width of the display part
  used to show that field. The field modification can be performed
  using the 'Modify permit' panel (C2RP3RPM) activated by the 'S'
  action character. No truncated RACF commands are generated.
