Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of zSecure Admin/Audit exploiting *
    * the storage optimization option in *
    *                 combination with the CKR.CONTROL.MASK        *
    * profile in interactive mode. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Admin/Audit does not use the *
    *                      OPTION OPTIMIZE=STORAGE when access to  *
    *                      the CKR.CONTROL.MASK profile that       *
    * forces to use I/O in preference to *
    *                      storage is denied.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided. *
    ****************************************************************
    When a user has "Use IO in preference to storage (mainly for
    RA.U/D/R/G queries)" option (SE.0 panel) unchecked and later the
    access defined by CKR.CONTROL.MASK profile is denied for that
    user, the aforementioned option is correctly disabled but
    remains unchecked so that the storage optimization is not used
    by zSecure Admin/Audit.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Admin/Audit has been modified so that it honors the
    access defined by the CKR.CONTROL.MASK profile when deciding on
    the storage optimization usage.
