OA49525: ABEND0C4 RUNNING RACF-OFFLINE IN BATCH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABEND0C4-4 running RACF-Offline in batch can be seen.
  One circumstance seen is when messages B8R350W and B8R351A are
  issued, for example:
  B8R350W Possible incorrect sharing of RACF database with
  sysplex PLEX1
  B8R351A Enter "CONTINUE" or "END"
  B8R240E ESTAC: Task ABENDed, Code=0C4, cleanup and exit
  

Local fix

• To avoid being prompted with message B8R350W each time that you
  use this database, use a USERID with system-SPECIAL to remove
  the IRRPLEX_* profiles in the GXFACILI resource class from the
  Offline database using RACF-Offline from TSO.

  When zSecure RACF Offline is operated in batch mode against a
  RACF database that is in data sharing mode (as specified by
  IRRPLEX_<name> profile in GXFACILI class), it issues an ABEND0C4
  with MSGB8R240E which begins with the text "ESTAC: Task ABENDed,
  Code=0C4, cleanup and exit".
  

Problem conclusion

• zSecure RACF Offline has been modified so that no ABEND0C4 is
  issued while the program is operated in batch mode against a
  RACF databases that is in data sharing mode.
