OA48860: SMF74DTS SMF74DCT NOT SET CORRECTLY FOR A DEVICE AFTER HYPERSWAP.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• SMF74DTS and SMF74DCT is not set correctly for a device after
  Hyperswap.
  IOS issues ENF 28 DDR for two devices to get swapped. ERBMFEAR
  listen exit processes the swapping. During that processing it is
  checked whether node descriptor ID for self describing devices
  is zero or blank. Then ERBMFIDA is called to update the control
  block entry. Among other fields the node descriptor is updated.
  In customers case, the node descriptor is set to the device
  number, because in initialization phase the node descriptor for
  the offline device was not available.

  After a Hyperswap, the SMF 74-1 fields SMF74DTS and SMF74DCT
  for the swapped device are not updated correctly.
  The problem occurs since the DDR listen exit in RMF module
  ERBMFEAR does not call module ERBMFIDA to update the device
  control blocks of the swapped device.
  Affected RMF releases: z/OS-1.13 up to z/OS-2.2
  

Problem conclusion

• With this APAR, RMF listen exit module ERBMFEAR is changed to
  call module ERBMFIDA too, if the node descriptor contains the
  device number. This is the case for a device that was offline
  during RMF initialization phase.
