Error description

  • Dump Title: COMPON=ATR,COMPID=SCRRS,ISSUER=ATRBMDUM,
    MODULE=ATRSMSFG+1EF0 UNEXPECTED ERROR

    The error occurred in routine CBVError. This was after
    detecting that the SHE control block had been freed, showing
    SHE_Eyecatcher ATRSCshe

    The following message is issued when detecting a freed SHE:

    ATR246I RRS HAS DETECTED A SHE CONTROL BLOCK ERROR -
            UNEXPECTED ERROR DUMP REQUESTED

    This problem occured while processing Subordinate Forget.
    Investigation showed that there were multiple subordinate URs on
    the system going through syncpoint termination. The processing
    path for this subordinate UR in ATRSMSFG determined that SHE was
    complete. Then syncpoint for another subordinate UR in ATRTMARI
    found that the SHE was marked complete and freed it. ATRSMSFG
    attempted to access the SHE again after it had been freed,
    leading to the UE

    Additional Symptoms:
    The Unexpected Error may occur later in subordinate syncpoint
    forget, with dump title
    Dump Title:  COMPON=ATR,COMPID=SCRRS,ISSUER=ATRBMDUM,
                 MODULE=ATRXMSCB+D28A UNEXPECTED ERROR
    .
    .
    Another error that can be seen because of this timing window are
    dumps for:
    .
    COMPON=ATR,COMPID=SCRRS,ISSUER=ATRBMDUM,MODULE=ATRXMSCT+4D54
    UNEXPECTED ERROR.......
    .
    and
    .
    COMPON=ATR,COMPID=SCRRS,ISSUER=ATRBMDUM,MODULE=ATRXMSCT+4B88
    UNEXPECTED ERROR.......
    .
    The above two dumps were taken because of the same timing window
    that exists between ATRXMSCT and ATRTMARI. There is no real
    impact, aside from the dumps being taken.

    Additional potential UE dumps accompanied with ATR246I:

    ATRTMARI HBB7790+A63C

    ATRSMSPT UA70427+160A

    ATRSMSFG UA71504+235A

    ATRTMARI HBB7790+AD4A
    ATRTMARI HBB77A0+ADDA

    ATRXMSCB HBB7790+D486
    ATRXMSCB HBB77A0+D456

    Known Environment
    Sysplex Cascaded transaction processing with more than 1
    subordinate URs cascaded on a system.

    Known Impact
    None. The SHE is freed during syncpoint forget processing.
    Each subordinate UR completes and cleans up successfully.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: UNEXPECTED ERROR dump in RRS module *
    * ATRSMSFG during the internal clean up *
    * of a highly complex Sysplex Cascaded *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The internal clean up processing by RRS for a Sysplex Cascaded
    Transaction is incorrectly trying to reference a control block
    that has already been freed which is being detected and reported
    (via diagnostic code which generates the UNEXPECTED ERROR dump).
