OA44771: LOOP IN ERBCNFSR WHEN STARTING RMF IF DEVICE X'FFFF' DEFINED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A loop in ERBCNFSR UA71999 + x'15C6' through x'1706' can occur
  when device x'FFFF' is defined.  The loop index is defined as a
  half word field and when the highest device is x'FFFF', the
  index will wrap and the loop delimiter condition will never be
  met so the code continues to loop.
  
  The loop only occurs when device x'FFFF' is defined and one of
  the following ptfs is applied:  UA72026, UA72027 or UA71999.
  If device x'FFFF' is not defined or the above ptfs are not
  applied, then there is no exposure to the problem.

  With this APAR RMF provides support to report on PPRC Primary
  devices and LCUs, where the devices are situated in a
  subchannel set other than 0 in Monitor I, II and III.
  Additionally Control Unit Queuing Time is stored to
  SMF 74 subtype 1 and SMF 79 subtype 9 record.
