OA43420: MESSAGE GTD3826E ISSUED ON A SHRINK MIGRATION (LARGE TO SMALL VOLUME)

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• TDMF sets a flag to indicate VTOC expansion on a large to small
  migration, however NOEXTV has been specified or defaulted.
  Eroneous calculations result in GTD3826E.
  
  This follows message:
  GTD1824W A volume is being migrated to a smaller device
  

Local fix

• Coding EXTV(1) should allow TDMF to just do an ICKDSF REFVTOC
  

Problem summary

  *                      should not attempt EXTVTOC.             *

  Shrink migrations should not allow EXTVTOC.

• Code changed to prevent EXTVTOC.
