Error description

  • IEC143I messages and ABEND213-70 after PDSE member copy when
    running PDSESHARING NORMAL.

AJB becomes orphaned after 213-70 causing global lock states to
    resolve incorrectly. Recreate as follows:

System A enters browse of dataset
System B copies a member to dataset receives 213-70
System A leaves browse of dataset
    System B copies member successfully
System A attempts browse and gets unexpected 213-70

    Additional Symptoms:

In a PDSESHARING EXTENDED sharing environment a connection to
PDSE data set can remain after an ABEND213 RC70 in a TSO
address space. This this connection is due to the orphaned AJB
and the connection is retained until the TSO session is
    terminated.

In a PDSESHARING EXTENDED environment an ABEND213-70 is taken
when a PDSE is opened for UPDATE on one LPAR in the sharing
environment and an open for INPUT, OUTPUT or UPDATE is attempted
from another LPAR in the SYSPLEX. It is the subsequent open
    that fails with the ABEND213-70.

    ADDITIONAL KEYWORD: PDSE/K
