Comments

  • For tasks that have disabled RLIM using the KOCRMCLL API,
RLIM was changed to issue message OC8902 when a WARN threshold
is reached, and issue new message KCP8903I when a KILL
threshold is reached. The task will not be killed by RLIM.

After this maintenance is applied, the change will take effect
when an OMEG RECYCLE is issued in the CICS region or when the
    CICS region is recycled.

The following message has been added to the product:

    KCP8903I HH:MM:SS BYPASSED ABEND "<ABCODE>" DUE TO
             <RESOURCE DESCRIPTION>: TRANS=<TRANID>,
             TASKNO=<TASKNO>, USER=<USERID> - RLIM OFF

Explanation: The CICS task has exceeded the resource KILL
threshold; however RLIM has been disabled for
this task using the KOCRMCLL API, for example it
is executing under the CICS Debug Tool.

System action: The task will not be killed by RLIM and this
message will not be issued again for this
                   resource while RLIM is disabled.

User response: When a task is executing under debugging tools,
such as the CICS Debug Tool, it is expected
that some resource thresholds could be
exceeded. Typically no User Response is
                   required.
Correct the application or increase the limit
value in the Global Data Area, if appropriate.
