Error description

• TESTPORT (CNMETSTL) command results in ABEND x'FFD' ABENDU4093
  when run under OST. When TESTPORT is run under VOST, it works,
  no abend.

Problem summary

  *                 TESTPORT command.                            *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When running the TESTPORT command on    *
  *                      the same task that applications using   *
  *                      USS services for their TCP/IP interface *
  *                      (eg. applications written using the     *
  *                      Language Environment (LE)), the USS     *
  *                      services application may abend with a   *
  *                      X'000FFD' user abend (ABENDU4093).      *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  There is an incompatibility between the Communications Server
  Sockets extended macro API (EZASMI) and the USS API used by LE.
  Because of this incompatibility, when applications using these
  two interfaces run on the same task, the LE application
  sometimes abends with the U4093 abend.
  

Problem conclusion

• The TESTPORT SOCKET commands are being moved so that they will
  run under a VOST task and not have an impact on any other TCP/IP
  applications running on the issuing OST or AOST task.
