Error description

  • Several byte count fields in the Applications Summary table show
    invalid values.

This occurs when the application has sent or received a large
    amount of data.

In particular, the fields 'Total Bytes Sent (in GB)',
'Total Bytes Received (in GB)' and 'Total Bytes (in GB)' will
    all contain the value '4294967295'.

Signed arithmetic used to calculate byte counts could not
handle large values returned from the NMI. The results were
stored as large negative values in the control block. These
values were then displayed at the TEP as '4294967295'
The collector code needs to be changed to handle extremely
    large byte count metrics.

Problem conclusion

  • KN3ANMTA is changed to handle large byte count metrics
    received from the NMI.
