Error description

  • Rexx (for a Web Extract) is somehow suspected of not building
    the Plist correctly, it tries to but it isn't quite right.
    Depending on 'how succesful' it has been building it, will issue
    either a RESP2=7 (VERSIONLEN not greater than zero), or a
    RESP2=4 (METHODLENGTH).

    ****************************************************************
    In the reported problem, a REXX exec was invoked via the web
    and it did an EXEC CICS WEB EXTRACT. However REXX interpreted
    the command as if all keywords had been specified and defaulted
    the values. In particular the length fields were rejected by
    DFHEIWB because they had defaulted to zero. As a consequence,
    the command failed with a LENGERR.

Problem conclusion

  • CICCP021 has been modified and will now only set existence bits
    for parameters that have actually been coded for WEB EXTRACT.
