Error description

  • There is a problem in the ACF build process when building the
    AT messages into the ACFMZxxx member. In the input file there
    are multiple OVR messages to be updated for an APL class but,
    looking at the OVR messages the text in &SUBSJOB is present in
    all AT condition statements. It's either
    MSGID = 'EDRxxxxI' & TOKEN(2) = '&SUBSJOB'    or
    MSGID = 'EDRxxxxx' & JOBNAME = '&SUBSJOB'
    The first OVR message is built correctly for the APL. However,
    any subsequent OVR messages containing the &SUBSJOB in AT
    condition will be bypassed. The problem only occurs if the OVR
    messages are defined in the APL class. No problem occurs if the
    OVR messages are directly defined to an APL instance.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The EMM build process does not build *
    * the AT statements correctly if there *
    * more than one override messages defined *
    * in an APL class, and &SUBSJOB text is *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The EMM build process should build all override AT statements
    that are defined in an APL class.

Problem conclusion

  • Rexx module AOFFTATW has been modified to ensure that all
    override messages defined for an APL class are processed and
    built correctly.
