APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User runs a Ispf edit macro...he first uses the 'view' service
    then immediately uses the 'Isredit Replace' command but the data
    is not entered into the replace dataset...if the view command is
    removed it works...problem looks to be caused by the zverb not
    being reset.

Local fix

  • Remove view command or put following after the view:
    ZVERB = ''
    ADDRESS  ISPEXEC 'VPUT (ZVERB) SHARED'

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: ALL ISPF Edit users *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Edit macro commands CREATE and REPLACE *
    * do not operate after END, EXIT or *
    * CANCEL command is processed from a *
    *                      panel display.                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    Module ISRECR processes CREATE/REPLACE for primary and macro
    commands. ZVERB is checked after a potential panel display but
    should not be when macro processing is active.

Problem conclusion

  • Module ISRECR is changed to ignore ZVERB for macro processing.

Temporary fix
