MD00095: INCONSISTENCY WITH PREFERRED SYNONYMS

Error description

• This APAR has been raised to make sure that preferred synonyms
  are managed in a consistent manner. The issue was raised where
  in IBM InfoSphere Governance Catalog (IGC), the preferred
  synonym is not always consistent.
  
  An example is Person first name and Forename. Person first name
  is linked to the Business Object Model / Business Data Model
  but forename seems to be the preferred synonym in IGC although
  this is not the case.

Problem summary

• Since the preferred term can easily be changed in InfoSphere
  Information Governance Catalog (IGC), it was decided that
  customers should choose their preferred term in IGC to suit
  their own requirement.
  

Problem conclusion

• The current preferred synonym will remain for now.
