APAR (Authorized Program Analysis Report)
Abstract
TCPIP-OTHER-UNPRED SK-P EVENTS FLOOD THE QUEUE PROCESSED BY
QSYSARB.
Error Description
System Supervisor Heap consumed by Events due to flooding of
the queue. Flooding occurs because of either a scan being run
against the system, or a server going down and clients
connecting continuously over and over again. These events are
signaled because *NETFAIL (or *NETCMN which includes *NETFAIL)
is enabled in QAUDLVL.
Problem Summary
System Supervisor Heap consumed by Events due to flooding of the
queue. These events are signaled because *NETFAIL (or *NETCMN
which includes *NETFAIL) is enabled in QAUDLVL.
Problem Conclusion
The events signaled by *NETFAIL are now filtered so a limited
number are queued each second; therefore, only a limited number
of SK-P audit entries are generated each second.
