APAR status

  • Closed as user error.

Error description

  • Administrator created a desktop setting with following option
    and apply to user's Notes client.
    [Preferences]-[Window Management]
     Hide "Day-At-A-Glance" Panel: "Yes"
     How to apply this setting: "Set value whenever modified"
    
    When user start Notes client and open a mail database., the
    desktop policy is set to user's Notes client.
    "Day-At-A-Glance" Panel is disappear when user re-start Notes.
    User select [View]-[Right Sidebar Panels]-[Day-At-A-Glance].
    "Day-At-A-Glance" panel appear.
    User re-start Notes and open mail database.
    DCC run ,desktop policy is applied again..
    User re-start Notes. However, "Day-At-A-Glance" Panel is not
    hide.
    
    I open
    \data\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\sett
    ings\com.ibm.rcp.ui.pref file.
    The value of
    HIDE_PANEL_com.ibm.workplace.ui.sidecalendar.views.SideCalendarV
    iewPart is false.
    
    $LNref2 of desktop setting document of Personal address book is
    TRUE.
    Since "Set value whenever modified" is selected, I think that
    the value should change when restarting Notes.
