Error description
For IBM Verse clients (SyncML clients) events that have special chars ':', ',', or ';' in TZID (timezone id field) do not appear on the Verse client. The TZID field comes from the Domino document StartTimeZone field, the ZN= part of that field. A parse error can be seen in the client logs in TPRs.
Local fix
Work-around would be to change the Domino timezone field value to a value that does not contain one of these special chars. Particular value that is causing problem is (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Problem summary
Timezone missing from calendar entries when the timezone contains a special character.
Problem conclusion
The IBM Traveler server was update to handle this scenario correctly.
Temporary fix
This fix is included in IBM Traveler 9.0.1.16 and later releases. For the latest IBM Traveler maintenance release see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
