Error description
Even after repeated cleanup and delete commands issued , some deleted devices still appear in traveler administration UI.
Local fix
set NTS_ADMIN_CLEANUP_TIMEOUT=0 , restart server. This should immediately remove all previously deleted devices that are not monitored by traveler. After server is restarted and cleanup is complete (takes 5-10 mins based on amount of data) , this setting can be removed from notes.ini on or before next scheduled restart.
Problem summary
Mod time was getting updated for users in delete pending state thus preventing the cleanup on age to work correctly.
Problem conclusion
The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this scenario correctly. After upgrade it may take up to 30 days for users to be removed by the cleanup task.
Temporary fix
This fix will be included in IBM Traveler server 9.0.1.13 and all later releases. See this technote for the latest available maintenance release: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
