LO89224: CA ISSUE WITH INVALID NSF VERSION

APAR status

• Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

• User registration or re-certification using Certificate
  Authority fails
  with error: Invalid NSF version
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  
  1. Using Notes 9.0.1 (or later version) client on Domino 8.5.3
  (not on
  9.0.1) server migrate certifier to CA
  2. After CA is configured, access this Domino 8.5.3 server
  using Lotus
  Notes 8.5.3 client
  3. Try to register new user or re-certify existing user
  4. Receive failure - Invalid NSF version
  
  Known workaround:
  
  1. Modify Certifier using Notes 8.5.3 client (simply press Ok).
  2. After Administration Process modify ICL database, try to
  re-certify
  user using Notes 8.5.3
  3. Re-certification completes successfully
  

Local fix

• Provided the technote  TN #1963447 and work around.
