APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A mobile device running Verse or Traveler mobile applications to
  create a new folder on the device (not all devices allow this
  operation) was creating the folder in Notes.  The new folder was
  syncing to all non-Verse clients and to the Verse client that
  created it (if it was one of the Verse clients), but not to any
  other of the Verse clients.  Prior to APAR LO85581 in 9.0.1.7,
  all folders were always subscribed to, so this subscription was
  causing the foldder to always sync to all devices.  When the
  APAR fixed the folders to correctly honor the folder
  subscription state for the Verse clients rather than
  auto-subscribing to the folder, it exposed this issue which
  prevents the folder from syncing to all devices.  This fix will
  cause the folder to sync to all devices and the default state of
  unsubscribed will still be correctly honored.
  

Local fix

• Workaround is to edit the folder in Notes such that it resyncs
  to all the devices.
  

Problem summary

• Folder created by mobile device not syncing to IBM Verse
  application unless it was the mobile client that created the
  folder.
  

Problem conclusion

• The IBM Traveler server has been updated to correctly send new
  folders to the IBM Verse application.
  

Temporary fix

• This fix will be included in IBM Traveler 9.0.1.9 and all later
  releases.  See this technote for the latest release information.
