LO86254: INTERNET EXPLORER (IEXPLORE.EXE) TASK DOES NOT TERMINATE IF NOTES BROWSER PLUG-IN IS ENABLED

Error description

• Internet Explorer Task, iexplore.exe does not terminate if
  Notes Browser plug-in is enabled or nnotebho.dll is running.
  
  Happening in Windows 7 SP1 Pro 64 bit with IE 11 32 bit running
  NOtes Client 901FP1. Issue is not reproducible in Windows 7 32
  bit.
  
  On Win7 64bit 901FP1 Install NBP 901FP1 running in IE11.
  
  1) Customer's Problem: NBP is opened with a non notes URL then
  close all tabs. -- Reproduced by L2.
  
  -Opened the NBP in IE11 browser and opened a new tab for cnn.com
  -Monitored Windows Task manager and confirmed that iexplore.exe
  is running
  -Closed All Tabs at once but the iexplore.exe processes were not
  terminated.
  -Refresh desktop but the iexplore.exe processes is still
  running.
  
  2) NBP is opened with a non notes URL then close each tab one
  at time.
  
  -Opened the NBP in IE11 browser and opened a new tab for cnn.com
  -Closed one tab at a time and verified that the iexplore.exe
  processes were all terminated checking the Task Manager.
  -Issue still persist for the customer.
  
  
  3)NBP is enabled but not open in any browser tab.
  -Opened cnn.com and google.com in IE11
  -Closed all tabs at once issue was not reproduced.
  -Issue still persist for the customer.
  

Local fix

• Disable "Enable third party browser extensions*" from Windows
  Control Pane; > Internet Option > Advanced > Browsing
  

Problem summary

• This APAR is closed as FIN. We have deferred the fix to a
   future release.
