APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a folder is updated (new name, template updates, etc.), it
will be auto-susbcribed by the server.  For the SyncML clients
(Android, iOS Verse, WM and Nokia Symbian), this could change
the folder subscription from its previous state.  The user can
unsubscribe again to get out of this state (or to recover after
this APAR is delivered to fix previous folders changed
unintentionally).  For the EAS clients (Apple iOS, WP, BB and
Win Tablets), all folders are always subscribed, so this change
has no effect on those devices.

Local fix

  • On the client, unsubscribe from the folder.

Problem summary

  • There as a problem where if a SyncML device updated a folder
(name, template, etc.) which was not previously subscribed, it
would become subscribed.

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler Server was updated to not change the
subscription status of the SyncML devices folder.
