LO83545: CREATING GOOGLE GADGETS OPEN BLANK PAGE

APAR status

• Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

• On Notes Standard client user try to create a Widget via Google
  gadgets.
  But user select Google gadgets in the Widget wizard, blank page
  is always opened.
  
  URL is http://www.google.com/ig/directory?synd=open
  Only "The specified directory has been deprecated." message is
  displayed.
  
  The Google gadgets service is closed now.
  Notes client must delete Google gadgets from the widget wizard.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Launch the Widget wizard (Configure widget from ...)
  2. Choose "Google gadgets"
  3. Chose "Browse Google gadgets directory"
  4. Click Finish
  5. You can see no gadgets is displayed and only "The specified
  directory has been deprecated." message is displayed.
  
  Notes client must delete Google gadgets from the widget wizard.
  

Local fix

• disable creating Google gadgets via desktop policy
  

Problem summary

• This APAR is closed as FIN. We have deferred the fix to a
   future release.
