Error description

  • Domino 9.0.1.x W64
    Traveler 9.0.1.x W64
    Notes 9.0.x W32

    1. A custom Notes Application Calendar is created

    2. A Notes user opens the Calendar view and selects Add A
    Calendar

    3. The user selects "Notes Application Calendar" and chooses
the application calendar referred to in Step 1. above

    4. The desired $Calendar view of a user with calendar entries
is selected for the target calendar view specified when the URL
    is chosen

    5. In the same option box, "View this calendar when offline or
on a mobile device" is checked

    6. The calendar entries for the targeted user and thereby
federated successfully within the standard Calendar views, in
that they appear in the Work Week view, Month view, Day view
    etc.

    7. However, the entries do not appear in the Entries and
Notices view. Other Notes Application Calendars have entries
    that appear here.

It is significant that the federated entries in this scenario
do not appear in the Entries and Notices view because this is
needed in order for the entries to sync to mobile devices
    through Traveler.

There is nothing incorrect about the Document Properties
because if they are directly pasted into the Entries and
Notices view, they will sync correctly through Traveler to a
    mobile device.

It is odd that the entries appear in the standard calendar
views but not in the Entries and Notices view, since this view
should display all entries with the CalendarDateTime field
populated, as is the cases with these federated entries

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The user is not able to sync federated applciation calendars to
Traveler. This is because the user has a customized database
template for which offline calendar documents are not getting
     generated.

Problem conclusion

  • The user is not able to sync federated applciation calendars to
Traveler. This is because the user has a customized database
template for which offline calendar documents are not getting
     generated.
