APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Reproducible Steps:
Setup a Roaming user.
Add some new words via Preferences dialog and replicate to
server.

Problem: the UserDictionary.xml is not attached to personal
address book which can check
by notespeek tool, so the new words failed to roam to other
roaming client.

After the step 2 above, the Userdictionary.xml should be
observed as attached
in names.nsf by notespeek.

Problem summary


    

  • During rebranding work in 9.0, OSGetRCPDataDir function was
 added to return path of RCP Data
 directory.  OSGetAndCreateSpellDir calls OSGetRCPDataDir to
 get RCP Base directory. Once it gets it appends UDM directory.
 Actual directory path of UserDictionary.xml is "Base install
 dir\Data\workspace\UDM".  But OSGetAndCreateSpellDir creates
 this as "Base install dir\Data\UDM". Workspace folder is
 missing in the path.
