Error description
In Notes 901, enable com.ibm.rcp.rte/RTEBasedBrowser=XULRunner in the plugin_customization.ini file. When opening a MIME email with attachments, a couple issues are seen: 1 - when selecting the attachment icon, the outline never appears. (So user does not think it is selected) 2 - when double clicking the attachment icon, the attachment does not open. The second is not always reproducible. Sometimes it works fine on double click. Customer finds they have to sometimes double click it 5-6 times before opening. But, if the attachment section is collapsed with twisty and then reopened, the attachment usually works on double click.
Local fix
Use IE for embedded browser or disable embedded browser for mime
