Error description
Designer 8.5.x/9.0.x has eclipse based editor for Agent/Script Library. When you set DBCS in the editor, all characters are handled as UTF-8. If you set "MS932 (Dafault Setting of Japanese environment)" in the character set of the editor , DBCS in the editor causes the compiling error. Steps to reproduce ---------------------- 1. Start Domino Designer in Japanese Environment. 2. Set "Default (CP932)" in "Preference - Domino Designer - General - Workspace - Text file encoding". 3. Create a Javascript Library. 4. Enter the following script. function test() { alert("xxxxx"); } - Set DBCS characters in "xxxxx" position. 5. Save the script. The error of "String literal is not properly closed by a double-quote" occurs.
Local fix
