APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If an iOS device composes a mail where there is no body (not
even a space or a signature) and an image, the mail is sent but
delivered without the image.

Local fix

  • Workaround is to always include something in the body.  This can
be a space that you type in.  This can be a signature with at
least one character (even a space) in it.  Or any other text in
the body (reply/forward history counts too).

Problem summary

  • When an IOS mail was sent with an image, but no body text, the
mail was missing the image.

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler server was updated to correctly send an IOS
mail with an image attachment but with no body text.
